Frequently Asked Questions
The Control Panel still show an Error
The Magic Trackpad 2 should run on any Windows 10+8 64bit version when connected with the USB cable. Bluetooth support depends on the right Bluetooth chipset, stack and driver.
Windows 7 users have to perform manual assignment which might not work on every system.
Why is Windows 7 not really supported?
Apple decided to skip Windows 7 support. So the new driver is not signed for Windows 7 any more. It is possible to make the driver work but we don't advice and support it. If you plan to use the Magic Trackpad 2 on Windows 7, consider the free Microsoft upgrade to Windows 8 or 10.
Why is Windows 32bit (x86 architecture) not supported?
Apple decided to skip 32bit support with BootCamp 5.1.
Sorry, no Apple driver, no support. Nothing we can do.
Where can I adjust the scroll speed?
The scroll speed is a global Windows setting. I can't be set per device. That's why we don't offer a scroll speed adjustment.
In order to adjust the scroll speed please use the standard Windows Mouse Settings. In Windows search for scroll or wheel.

What Bluetooth radios are supported?
The good news first: You can always connect the Magic Trackpad 2 with a USB cable, so it should always work independent from Bluetooth.
In general it should work with Broadcom chipsets as Apples uses them with their products. Apple also specifies Bluetooth 4.0 as a requirement but people reported it works with earlier Bluetooth radios as well, whereas we have reports that it disconnects a lot in some cases.
If you buy a license or contacting us it's really easier for both sides to use a private email address like GMail, Yahoo, Hotmail, @me ...
Company mail servers and firewalls have very strict filtering systems for SPAM and Malware. They block any suspicious email without notifying the sender. That's why we send two emails, one notification email and one which contains the license.
But it still happens often that someone buys a license from a company email account but never gets any of our emails. They start complaining, we answer but they don't get our answer... This all takes time (and work) and can be frustrating for both sides.
